Change of subcontractor for processing of personal data

At Preely we take pride in providing a strong, secure and safe platform for both clients and test users. Preely is currently using AWS Data Center, Ireland, for the processing of all data related to the use of our platform and user panels. Following the Schrems II verdict, we have reviewed alternative set-ups to mitigate any risks related to potential, unintended transfer of data to third countries.

Migrate all personal data

Our decision is to migrate all personal data from AWS, Ireland, to a new subcontractor; Hetzner Online GmbH, Germany. The migration and future use of Hetzner Online GmbH means that the handling of personal data is in full compliance with GDPR rules, since Hetzner is based in EU and under German ownership.

Scheduled

The migration itself is scheduled to take place on Sunday 16th October at 20h00, with Sunday 2nd November at 20h00 as a fall back option.

The platform will be closed

On Sunday 16th October, the platform will be closed for maintenance from 20h00 until midnight. We advise not to launch or conduct any tests during this period, since access to the platform will be closed during this period.

Once completed, our DPA will be updated accordingly.
