Bjarke Bierring Kristoffersen, Marketing Manager Preely

Now you can import and test your InVision prototypes with Preely test platform. Get instantly actionable analytics from real users, with a high-speed, remote and unmoderated testing setup for your prototypes. It only takes a few minutes to import your InVision prototype and set up a string of tasks for real users to complete.

New feature. You spoke, we listened. We are happy to announce that you can now import your InVision prototypes directly into Preely using the prototype URL.

This constellation will allow you to create remote user tests quickly, and to get instant and easily implementable feedback from real users.

Testing your InVision prototypes with Preely (How it works)

Imagine working on your InVision prototype, and with a few clicks being able to set up a navigation test, that will allow you to iterate and improve your UX design quickly. Well, this is exactly what you can do now.

Check out how it works here:

  1. Log-in, click create test and choose the device that fits your prototype
  2. Choose import from InVision, paste your prototype URL
  3. Add tasks for your users to complete and share via your recruitment URL

We are almost there, but…

Our InVision prototype import tool is almost working seamlessly. However, we are still running in beta mode. This means that the advanced user might experience a few issues when importing InVision prototypes for user testing with Preely.

One of those issues is the ability to import ‘overlays’ from InVision which we are still not able to handle.

Currently, this can be solved by screenshotting your overlay image, upload it into your Preely import, and create a new link hotspot without a transition.

Test examples to conduct with your InVision prototype

Preely is extremely flexible, and most types of unmoderated test can be conducted. Here is a few ideas to get you started:

  • Navigation tests
Understand how a user navigates your prototype to make more informed decisions, increase your conversions and figure out where people get confused or drops off. A navigation test is easily created by asking users to complete one or more tasks involving your different user paths or funnels.

  • 5-second tests
Get feedback and figure out which type of impressions your product leaves on your users. Understand which elements stand out. To set up a five-second test, set your task trigger to 5 seconds and ask for feedback. It’s one of the easiest ways to understand how users perceive your website, and if they give notice to your essential features.

  • First click tests
Getting the first click right doubles the chance of your users succeeding. Conducting a first click test is a fast and simple way to test if users are clicking as they are intended to. To create a click-test you drag your hotspot to fit the entire screen, and Preely will collect clicks and visualize it in heat- and action maps.
